Spring Cleaning!

Spring cleaning? Don’t forget your vehicle!

Get out into the open air and give your vehicle the TLC it deserves. Not only does a clean vehicle make for a more comfortable ride, but it will also help to maintain & protect your investment. Here are a few tips from Kelley Blue Book, CarFax, and other highly respectable organizations in keeping your vehicle new.

Inside

  1. Get all the miscellaneous treasures out of your vehicle. The whole process is a lot smoother when there aren’t things that need to be constantly moved
  2. Take those floor mats and clean them
  3. Vacuum the interior. Don’t forget the little crevices in the seat rails – move those seats to get all the dust and debris that is hiding
  4. Wipe down the dust from the dashboard, then disinfect the dashboard (don’t forget to disinfect the seat belt mechanisms!)
  5. Clean the console, cupholders, door panels, and steering wheel
  6. Wipe the interior window
  7. Take care of all the seats
  8. FINALLY – deodorize and add those smell goods

Outside

  1. Get to a shady spot
  2. Rinse ‘er down in plain water – get the gunk to soften up
  3. Start with the wheels, get the dirtiest work done first
  4. Get a new sponge and move to the roof of your vehicle, work your way down
  5. Rinse with clean water
  6. Dry with a microfiber towel
  7. Wipe that windshield and those windows
  8. Clean your headlights
  9. THEN – wax
