Spring cleaning? Don’t forget your vehicle!
Get out into the open air and give your vehicle the TLC it deserves. Not only does a clean vehicle make for a more comfortable ride, but it will also help to maintain & protect your investment. Here are a few tips from Kelley Blue Book, CarFax, and other highly respectable organizations in keeping your vehicle new.
Inside
-
Get all the miscellaneous treasures out of your vehicle. The whole process is a lot smoother when there aren’t things that need to be constantly moved
-
Take those floor mats and clean them
-
Vacuum the interior. Don’t forget the little crevices in the seat rails – move those seats to get all the dust and debris that is hiding
-
Wipe down the dust from the dashboard, then disinfect the dashboard (don’t forget to disinfect the seat belt mechanisms!)
-
Clean the console, cupholders, door panels, and steering wheel
-
Wipe the interior window
-
Take care of all the seats
-
FINALLY – deodorize and add those smell goods
Outside
-
Get to a shady spot
-
Rinse ‘er down in plain water – get the gunk to soften up
-
Start with the wheels, get the dirtiest work done first
-
Get a new sponge and move to the roof of your vehicle, work your way down
-
Rinse with clean water
-
Dry with a microfiber towel
-
Wipe that windshield and those windows
-
Clean your headlights

THEN – wax
